from watched I’ve watched from reliable YouTube - he seems vastly better with his head. Hopefully we’ll get to see.
 
Doesn't score enough, so who else is going to get the other 20 that we will need?

Good that he would be a free transfer but I can't see him scoring at a better rate than Britt or Fletch would, and I bet he will want similar wages, being a free transfer.

It does mean that we can play lump ball though, oh joy.

I really hope I'm wrong though, UTB.
 
I am pretty confident that every single player we sign or are linked with will get 'not for me' or 'he's no better than ????'

We have no money. We are replacing 2 forwards (used loosely) with free transfers and maybe a 1-3mil player or loans.

Who do people seriously think we can get? 😂. I keep hearing Gayle / Ayew / Benteke and many more. They are on anywhere between 50k and 100k a week.

We are going to be hammering the free transfer market (as is everyone else). The good thing is that their are some decent champo players available due to covid. Clubs can't match or offer them new deals.

This guy was Bristol city's player of the season last year. Oh 'funny thing' he's turned down a new deal so they say he's a waste of space. Just think what we will say when Britt signs for someone and they ask😂

I wonder if we will sign anyone who won't get hammered before a balls kicked? Oh actually Alex Mowett seems popular. Although probably out of our league.

Totally agree, money is tight & the targets we 'would' love to sign will be out of our price range, NW has to wheel & :deal to bring strikers in who will work together to score the goals to continue taking us forward next season, let's give em a chance

Bolasie and Watmore are capable of double figures over a full season, need someone on the too.

I actually think he could get 15 goals in a Warnock side. Direct long balls to challenge and Paddy McNair corners and free kicks to get on the end of I think he could be a good fit.

Ayew will go to the prem or europe.

Gayle has a great goalscoring record at this level. I would think one of the relegated sides will go for him, possibly Fulham as I think their star striker will leave.

I actually think Benteke might be in our price range, just, underwhelming at Palace for the last 4 or 5 seasons, there won't be a queue of top flight or even relegated managers waiting for him. But, he looks to me like one of those players that will batter average players, and not get a kick against good ones. Again he is the perfect type for a Warnock CF, would be an upgrade on Dhiediou but, would probably cost 25k, not 15k.

Totally agree with this. If Britt didn't score he added the square root of zero to overall team play. This guy looks like he could cause havoc, rough some centre backs up and occupy them so that others can benefit from flick ons, second balls, more space etc.

Why wouldn’t he sign a deal at Bristol City?

why would he want to come here? Are we massively over paying on wages again?

One thing about Gayle is that he's humble enough to drop down to the championship but I get the feeling he'll get offers from the likes of Palace and perhaps the three going up.
 
I would love Gayle - alas he would be too expensive with his wage demands I would guess. And he would have a shed load of clubs in for him. Never mind, we move on

"Britt" and "Fletch" scored 7 league goals between them this season.

Fancies a new challenge? Signing on fee? Thinks we're a better shot at promotion?

And I know some of our glass half empty fans weirdly like to believe otherwise, but we're actually one of the bigger clubs in the championship with premier league standard facilities. We're certainly a bigger club than Bristol City.

The early signs suggested that Akpom was going to be that type of player but it hasn't really worked out for him.

Hopefully Diedhiou can be an upgrade, although his goalscoring record at this level doesn't overly enthuse me.

It's also worth nothing that Boro fans struggled to get Negredos' name right, so think a few are going to have a nightmare with this guy.
 
Some reservations, however a vast improvement on this seasons strikers!

I can see us adding Wyke also, with Coburn as a further back up.

Diédhiou and Wyke for nothing would be a vast improvement on the 22mil and over 50k a week pair going out.

They would suit our 'style'. Like it or not its our style and we may as well have forwards who fit.

I actually I have pretty low expectations and just think anyone coming in can't be worse. They only have to run/stay fit and win a few headers. .. Its already an improvement 😂

I actually think a season of Watmore will get a few. He's top scorer and didn't join until November and missed games when the new boys joined.
