Booking a booster jab

I've had a similar experience to the OP and I too live in a city.

Trying to book through the NHS meant a 3-week wait and a 30-mile round trip.

According to them, the nearest walk-in centre is 50 miles away from us. However, word of mouth suggests that this is not correct and that we have one a mere 10 miles away, so we'll give that one a try.

The original vaccination was easy. The booster appears to be anything but.

This is not intended as a criticism of the NHS by the way. It's down to the people who hypocritically clap them and then give them no resources to work with.

I went on the NHS book booster link was offered Thornaby, Coulby or Acklam pharmacy, which are all about 3 miles away. Booked coulby no queues * thankfully no side effects job done. The riverside is also offering walk in apppintments.

Quite a few local pharmacies are doing the covid booster jabs, as bookings and for walk ins. The wife got hers at Hunters on Linthorpe Road, they do walk ins after 2.00pm. I think South Bank pharmacy do them as well.

Had my booster at a local pharmacy yesterday. Moderna booster, my first 2 were Pfizer.

Forgot to say, when I went for my booster at the Riverside they asked me if I had an appointment or was a walk in.
If you qualify for one you .just be able to just turn up. It was really quiet there.
