Messi retired whilst wearing the strip.

Mcmanaman called it right in the first half when he said it felt like the Germany v Brazil game that ended 7-1. Barca in the end had no fight and no plan B.

It’s been coming for years- 2017: PSG 5-0, 2018 Roma 3-0, 2019 Liverpool 4-0, 2020 Bayern 8-2.

Yes they were very impressive, admittedly I’ve not watched a lot of them this season and they have some players who I hadn’t appreciated how good they were.

But honestly, tonight almost felt more like it was about Barca’s fall from grace. I do expect BM to win it now though. City could give them a good game but I feel like they could bottle it.

They’ll probably beat them 6-0 now I’ve said that.
 
Shame that Messi has spent his prime years in that team, performance like that has been coming for a long time

He was embarrassing tonight and commentators were right to call him out aswell, suppose to be the captain and just spent the game walking around uninterested. I know they wanted their manager gone and players have all the power there but that was disgraceful tonight.

What else could he do when the teams played like that? They could just completely mark him out of the game when the rest of the team was so poor.
Messi really isn’t the one who should be questioned here, he has dragged them to the league or a top 2 finish for the last two seasons pretty much by himself. They wouldn’t have even had a top 4 finish without him
 
Yes amateurish commentary from Mcmanaman to lay into Messi at the end. Busquets, Pique, Lenglet, Semedo, De Jong, Alba were all far more to blame for the sh*tshow than Messi was, I'm not for a minute saying he had a decent match though! To have a go at Messi for not tracking back is a lack of understanding of the Barça squad and the role Messi plays.
 
Messi was supposed to be captain, the only function of that job he managed to complete competently was when he shook hands with Neuer.
