Manager Stan Stan Andersons team winning 5-4 away to Mansfield, with John O'Rourke & Derrick Downing get a brace each, raking their goals to the season to 9 & 3 respectfully & Mr Middlesbrough, John Hickton, scoring the 5th goal & his 1st away Boro career goal

After 2 consecutive defeats at the beginning of October Boro have won 4 & drew one of the last 5 games

Only the 2nd time that season we had won 2 on the bounce

A bit more consistency from the Boro to hopefully mount a serious promotion challenge

I remember a very cold bonfire night game away at Barnsley in 1991. The game was so bad (2-1 defeat) that we went to the back of the terrace behind the goal and turned to other way to watch the fireworks in the valley below! Sad postscript....this was Mogga's final ever game as a Boro player.
