Bolasie, Kebano, Mendez Laing

Would pretty much agree with all of this. If Fulham stay up we'd be in a good position to keep Kebano. Bolasie seems to be enjoying his football, he's a quality player really. I'd like him to stick around. We do need a proper all-round midfielder, a proper No8. Our lads are decent but we lack an imposing presence there IMO. They are good until the edge of the final third and then not much after. If we can get a combative midfielder who is as comfortable looking forwards as he is back and sideways then we'd be very strong there, with what we already have.

The strikers are weird. We know we need two new ones but Akpom really needs to start asserting himself. To me he's a modern version of Jutkiewicz in that he loves the idea of a grapple and a bit of chew without actually being capable of getting the better of the opponent. He gives fewer fouls away than Jutkiewicz did though. He might be better with a partner, to be fair, but there were times last night when Bolasie wants to put an early ball in and Akpom isn't anticipating. He rarely seems to be in the right positions.
Thats what I think let's Akpom down most, he doesn't anticipate anything. I've noticed it a silly amount of times this season when a winger is at the byline or whatever. He just hides behind defenders goal side and won't even switch on to make an attacking movement until a defender sniffs the danger first which then triggers him to make run. But by then its too late.

As much as I like Mitrovic , we can't afford him , and probably can't afford Bolasie .
Kebano may be within our reach , and maybe Diedhiou , with Wyke / or Michael Smith as his competition . Will they be enough ? Kebano needs to add goals.
We need a poacher , to take the chances the target man provides .
Jephcott , Dion Charles ?
NML will maybe sign on for another year .
Alex Mowatt on a free would be my choice for midfielder and Captain .
Kadeem Harris , Jordan Jones and Adam Reach options for the wings.
Dion Charles is a decent forward option who can play wide and central .Low risk
Corey Blackett Taylor is also a decent option as he can play wide or central . Free
Nick Powell is quality and would be great as competition with Tav . Free
I still think we are short at CH and would like a leader in the mould of Pearson , like Declan Gallagher , Motherwell Captain ,and Sean Morrison .
Johnsson , Copenhagen Keeper is one of the best in Europe , he would be great .
Neil knows who he wants , I trust his judgement , the above are my choices , he will have his . Let's hope he gets it right .

It was strange because Neil Maddison mentioned this on one of his commentaries recently, I can't remember if it was the Preston game or the Stoke one. Think it was Stoke. He used the word 'hiding' when explaining what Akpom was doing during a Boro attack, or period of play in Stoke's defensive third. It stood out because it's quite a strong word to use. There were definitely elements of that before his decent cameo against Cardiff and I thought he might turn a corner after that but Tuesday was poor.

This is my point though, I don't think as a squad striker you're getting much better than Fletch. So if we can keep him why wouldn't you? He's better than Akpom so to suggest you should just not offer him anything because Akpom is still here doesn't make an awful lot of sense to me.
What I'm saying is we have three poor strikers but only one is tied to the club. Why tie another one who offers little and us clearly not up to it.

His wages should go on a better player.

He was described in commentary the other night as someone who the game just happens to, rather than someone who tries to impose their will on the game to influence it.
