Bob Ballard - Swimming Commentator Sacked by Eurosport

Probably forgot he wasn't on the old version of Talksport that he used to do a bit of work for. In today's world you're only ever a sentence away from being cancelled so should have known better but not a career-ending issue as far as I'm concerned
 
An opportunity to give an apology on the air on the next swimmy event, then removal from mic, then moved to commentate on the mens 20km walky racy thingy that noobody watches until the last stadium bit.
 
I find this a little bit pathetic if I'm honest.

The thing with equality is that we need to treat everyone fairly, but recognising that not everyone is the same.

It's it a stereotype, given woman generally do spend longer getting ready, including make-up. It was a tongue in cheek comment, albeit not a very funny one.

I'm all for equality and tackling inequality, but this isn't how you do it in my opinion.
 
Is Bob Ballard also the golf reporter on Talksport with a quite distinctive US accent?

What I call a Mid West "country club" accent.
 
Very Partridge, as already pointed out. Which reminds me of the story Courtney Love told about her dalliance with Steve Coogan.

"All it was was a couple of shags and I did not know he was Alan Partridge. I had never seen Alan Partridge. But I was in a band with people who did know about Alan Partridge, so I had to make a record with them constantly saying to me "Back of the net!"
