Blackpool rearranged Fixture

There are only 2 midweek games January-March. Makes more sense to drop it in there than to squeeze it in during 2022 when there's more fixture congestion.

Refunds were offered last week, if requested before 6pm last friday, was mentioned on here

That wasn't a refund, it was an option to rearrange the train journey for a later date, and that could only be to Blackpool, and you had to pay the difference for any additional costs.

Given the match is almost certainly going to be midweek, that was useless to me

Almost certainly on a date I can't go, sadly.

I hope a refund is offered, it should be shouldered by the EFL and FA.

I accept that I've just lost the train fare.
Here’s the email i got from the ELF regarding the complaint i put in .

Thank you for your e-mail, we acknowledge your comments.

Firstly, we should state that we are aware of the strong outpouring of emotion across the country in light of the Queen’s passing, and the EFL has been contacted by many supporters over the last few days expressing a number of contrasting views with regards to the playing of fixtures.

As you are aware, on Friday morning the EFL announced that games taking place on 9-10 September would be postponed as a mark of respect by the National Sport to the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II, with the full statement able to view here. We also acknowledge that supporters across the country will have been looking forward to matches commencing as usual this weekend. However, it is also true to say that recent events are somewhat unique and following a number of discussions with Government and fellow sports, as you will be aware the decision to postpone the weekend’s fixtures was made in conjunction with both the Premier League and FA.

In reaching this decision, due consideration was given to football’s role as the National Sport, and as mark of respect to the Late Queen Elizabeth II, after discussion between all parties, it was agreed that postponing this weekend’s fixtures was appropriate given the significance of the Queen’s death.

In addition, the EFL is not able to provide any reimbursement, refunds or compensation to supporters who may wish to return tickets, cancel transport or accommodation bookings, these must be sought from the supplier directly. The EFL is not liable in respect of refunding costs based on third party transactions.

Thank you for contacting the EFL.

Pathetic from the EFL, but it's what we've come to expect.

So basically they made the decision to postpone but are not willing to take the consequence of that decision, they would rather the fans had the consequence, even though the fans were not involved in the decision making process???

So basically F U, we'll do what we want, deal with it
Yes basically - no apology or anything. I’ll be emailing again to register my disapproval and point out that most hotels will not offer refunds at such short notice. Total disregard for the fans and sacrifices made to support our clubs. I thought it quite ironic that they have TOGETHER displayed in bold writing as their motif

Don't forget their respect campaign too. Respect is a two way street and they've shown little to the fans in this instance
