Birmingham have retired Jude Bellingham's 22 shirt...

Bit over the top that like. Anyone see his post match interview last night on the Birmingham Facebook page? Absolutely brilliant and comes accross as a lovely young fella. Wish him every success in the game
 
Mental. Never even heard of him before today, I gather he's very good but retiring the shirt seems ridiculous for someone who's played 1 season.
 
Quite silly really, I suppose the reason they're retiring the shirt number is not down to legend status, that has to be earned, no its solely down to bringing such a large amount of much needed money in to the club
 
Suddenly a George Friend testimonial is the least we can do. Maybe we should put some cones round his parking space in memory of his time here and keep it as a shrine to him.
 
My mate taught him and coached him in the school football team. Says that 18 months ago, he was going training with Birmingham in the morning and then playing school games in the afternoon. Describes him as emotionally intelligent, resilient and committed. Those qualities should take him far. He also said that Bellingham's brother, who is also at his school, is a very good player as well.
Having seen a little bit of Jude Bellingham on tv, he looks a very good player, especially considering his age.

As for retiring the number, what's that all about?
