Billy Sharp

Makes me wonder if some wrexham playets mentioned sharp losing his kid . Must have been bad for him to do this...he looks rattled for a reason

What?

Why on earth do you think that?

He's had digs at us in the past saying he didn't like us, he also did it about Derby and their fans.

It isn't mutually exclusive, you can both tragically lose a child and be a bell end.

Not his finest moment is it and you have to question the clubs decision to allow him to go in front of the cameras when he'd obviously lost his head a bit.

The smaller clubs (fans, players and pundits) just get carried away with the emotion. I remember in 2006 when Nuneaton forced a replay with us. The next round draw was for the winner to play Coventry away, which was basically a local derby for Nuneaton. Their fans, players and even the local press were talking about it as though they had already won the replay at the Riverside. Needless to say we battered them and went onto reach the semi final. I really wouldn't be getting angry about it.
Agree, let them get excited or look to the next round. Why does he care?

I remember Billy Sharp praising our fans after he played against us soon after the loss of his child. Can't remember which team it was. Maybe Doncaster or Rotherham? The Boro fans gave him an excellent reception that night. A great finisher who I would've liked to see play up front for us in the past. He got quite chewy and wound up when we got stuffed at Bramall Lane last year. Peltier had a bit of spat with him and wrestled him to the floor.

Yeah we played Donny away and he scored a wonder goal which produced a very emotional celebration. Even as a Boro fan that night I don't think anyone would have begrudged him that moment.

I don't see why a team of non-League players WOULDN'T be looking at the possibility of playing Spurs in the cup? Seriously what does he expect? Fawning reverence because they have had the good fortune to get a replay at Bramall Lane?

I didn't see the "exchange of views" in the tunnel afterwards, but you have to wonder at SU putting anyone in front of the cameras if there had been a bit a kerfuffle.

I used to have a bit of time for Sharp because of what he went through and to come through the other side of it, but he’s been like this a few times in recent seasons. Next week I really hope we get into them like they did to us last season.

I don't think his interview is that big of a deal. Wrexham aren't your typical 'plucky non-league' club. He said what he felt. He could have praised Wrexham for battling away and playing a good game, but it wasn't how he felt. No problem with the interview.
It's not a big deal, just a bit weird for someone with his experience to get wound up like that in a game against Wrexham
