She re-recorded and re-released all her albums outside of the original record c deal she got, giving her the lions share of the revenue and kicking her previous record company in the nuts at the same time. Very clever. Wasn’t her idea mind, but that’s what got her in the rich list

Spotify didn't do her any harm with $131m earned from streaming, on top of being practically constantly in the charts with most of her releases.
She is actually a really good artist tbh, she can sing really well, knows her own worth and does a lot of good. She is also driving a lot of the vinyl revival, massively outselling every other artist consistently by a long way.

The latest tour is the biggie at the moment though, highest grossing tour ever. Well deserved I'd say, if you watch the concert on Disney Plus it's amazing that she can do over 3 hours singing live and dancing, and then do that night after night. Apparently trained for the tour by singing the whole set list repeatedly on a treadmill.
Does a lot of good with her money too and is generous with staff. She's given something like $50 million in bonuses for this tour alone. Books the best hotels for all staff as well.
I still love that she funded Nashville cat sanctuaries throughout the pandemic

Its such a shame that modern musicians and artists are conditioned to hide their politics for fear of losing a few quid from sponsors. I learned a lot about politics from reading interviews with my favourite bands in the 80s and 90s.

I am probably wrong but I was under the impression that she encouraged people to vote etc without actually siding with anybody.
She hasnt actually encouraged to vote against Trump, has she? Like a twitter thingy or Instagram thingy?

People who encourage others to vote are ALL anti Trump. As with the right in this country one of their tools is voter suppression. If the MAGA loons, famously dumb as they are, have worked out she's against them then it must be quite obvious!

She famously endorsed Joe Biden in 2020, I doubt her position has changed, especially after Trump sent his MAGA loons after her.
