Next Friday Billingham Synthonia are celebrating 100 years as a football club in the Legends Lounge at the Riverside Stadium.

Each ticket is £50 per person and includes 3 course dinner, guest football speakers including Middlesbrough FC legend, Craig Hignett, raffles, live auction and end of season presentations.

Many years ago I attended Synners annual end of season doo when the late, great Tony Lee was manager.
He said let me introduce to a massive Boro fan, Frankie..

Just giving this a bump for anyone who is interested and may have missed it.

Just a massive shame in the centenary year Synners haven’t played in Billingham for 3 or 4 years.

Do you know if they are moving to a different ground for home games next season? There have been feelers (rumours of) put out to teams nearer Billingham but don't know if anything has been finalised

I’d heard rumours of a potential football development to be shared by both Synners and Town, with Bedford Terrace and surrounding land use for housing.

There was talk of the Marsh House Avenue, but can’t see it happening any time soon, or at all. Synners Juniors have the land for development but I can see Fujifilm buying them out at some point.

Yeah they have something closer to home lined up and should be announced in the next week or two.

What could be a good name for a sort of joint venture between Town and Synners?

Billingham Together FC? Billingham-Is-One FC? All Billingham FC? Any other ideas?

Billingham United surely?

Although it’s always struck me as odd that some towns and cities have a ‘United’ team when the town or city’s football teams are clearly not United at all. e.g. Manchester

There’s already a junior club called Billingham United.

Besides, like CtC explains Synners and Town will never merge. There’s a reason Synners didn’t stay in town when they were kicked out of Central Avenue.
 
No bad blood between the clubs just bad blood between certain individuals most of them not now involved?
