Bill Gates Dementia

I don't understand the link between heading the ball and Dementia. My Aunt who is 90, highly intelligent has never headed the ball is suffering that way. In her case , only recently. Is it something that comes with age, and in some earlier than others?

I dont think posters are been unkind to Bill Gates in saying that he was lucky to have such a big crowd at his testimonial, more the timing & both teams been champions the trophy displayed, the atmosphere at the club at the time, yes he certainly deserved it 100%, but compare the attendances to Frank Spraggon, 9.3k, John Hickton 10.5k, Willie Maddren, not too sure, Dave Armstrong 7.6k, Jim Platt & John Craggs etc, the timing was perfect
Erimus compare those you mentioned to Clayton Blackmore who had his testimonial before he had ever played for us

Yep, good point

But I would still say he was lucky the way both teams finished & the buzz at the time, certainly not taking anything away from BG, an excellent servant to the Boro

Can I politely point out you are talking out of your F***ing **** here! I grew up across the road from Bill and family, lovely bloke, played footy with his lads. The testimonial gave him enough money to set up his first sports shop in Dundas Arcade in 1974. Money made from that humble start led to his move to Hill St, so over the years not only did he work hard and plan his investments wisely, he also created plenty of jobs for young people in the area. Yes he retired well, but he and his wife both worked hard, (she was no Wag, she was in senior positions in the education system) and both gave plenty back to the community over the years. We could do with more people like them!
What the fek you on about I never said or implied any of those things. I stated John Hickton got only a third of the crowd Bill got. If you think Bill was a more popular player than Big John the you sir are talking out of your F***ing **** here! Where did I say he didn't work hard ?
