For someone who thought that players played too much football when he was at Arenal and often bemoaned players getting injured on international duty, he's very keen to get this off the ground.

I hope FIFA's new money grabbing scheme doesn't get the support to go ahead and falls dead in the water.

The major footballing nations of the world need to stand firm on this, listen to their players and give this crackpot idea the mother of all red cards.
 
No from me to...

FIFA have said will only go ahead if suits everybody.... So I imagine the FIFA funded report in to this will come out with a resounding YES... You can see clearly from the response to this thread it has to happen :rolleyes:
 
World cup is a bloated and played out competition that serves a vastly diminished sporting interest now and has been hijacked by global corporations as just another vehicle to serve their interests. Id rather see the top SA/CA teams play the top European nations with a couple of wildcards for SE Asia and Africa.
