It’s a slow burner.
Took me until about Episode 6 or 7 of series one to get into it
If you’ve seen all of Breaking Bad then definitely watch it.
As Aet said, absolutely correct. The first season of BCS, maybe even the second are ones you just gotta stick with but it gets FAR better,
If you have not seen Breaking Bad to the end, BCS will be of little interest to anyone who would just try it out as a show to get into, I would imagine, just like most other sequel dramas would be. Though I have heard of folk who have absolutely loved BCS having not even seen BB!
If you did not watch the entirety of BB, you can find plenty of good channels on Youtube dedicated to BCS that explain Saul Goodman's story before he become the dodgy bus bench lawyer in BB which may inspire you to give it another go.
Depends on what floats your boat I guess, But BCS is certainly a slow burner that picks up fast towards the end of most seasons with the odd stand-out episode as well - such as Bagman - season 4 ... that was unreal.
I have never known a series, personally, that had so many supporting characters that people adored as in BB such as Mike Ermantraut, Hector, Gustavo Fring, etc .... and BCS is largely all about how these characters all came into being the people they turned into, telling many of their backstories - such as Mike .. who did not start out anywhere near as intimidating as he is in BB but always had that bitterness burning within him when he becomes disillusioned with the Police force of whom he was a part of. A clever man who can handle himself .. then comes to break bad in order to support his remaining family - His daughter, and niece. I won't ruin that story though and spoil it again as I did in an earlier post
I either recommend you watch Breaking Bad or a Saul pre-BB summary on Youtube and then try it again unless you have already seen the former ,,, I guess it just ain't for you.
After Monday's episode, I have been so impressed with how it has gone so far, and the pace this season is noticeably different ...,
I am praying the second half finale of BCS does not go the same way as Ozark's did, which ended with a whimper and ****-poor plot/story ending. After Monday's BCS episode, I am certain most will be pleased. Pretty weird when people already know mostly what happens anyway with the main protagonist in SG. where he ends up shortly. Apart from Gene and the taxi driver .. that is going to be mega
We've also got Walter and Jesse returning in the second half of BCS, That will be interesting. I thought it didn't work in El Camino, but I trust Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould. It's gonna be a belter
