Best Teesside (Tees Valley) coastal town

Seaton has usually been our regular place. And the Gares.

Saltburn is probably better but always feels busy and can’t get parked.

Went to Redcar over Christmas for the first time in years. Had a coffee and a pint (not mixed together) in the bar at the bottom of the vertical pier and a nice walk. Quite enjoyed it!

Also thought the slots at Redcar edge it over Seaton. Which is important to my young boys.

What’s your favourite?

I can't say tbh as I only ever go there when back home for xmas

What I did notice however is loads of parking spaces taken up by semi-permanent camper vans which doesn't help

I've been getting the train to saltburn either walk or drive to the nearest station, and 30 mins later I'm in saltburn. No parking issues and if I've walked I can get a few pints in too!

Skinningrove beach is a hidden gem.

It depends on what you want from your seaside visit. I love walking from Redcar to Saltburn and the views towards Huntcliff are beautiful.
