I was very impressed by an Albert Quixall goal for Sheffield Wednesday - our keeper never moved ! That Rooney goal was a bit special mind
He couldn’t half hit a ballPaul Scholes.
I think you could say that about almost any goal where a player dances through a defence like that. Including the famous examples of Maradona, Weah etc. That one Gaston scored for us in the PL, although it was a great run, they literally just chose not to tackle him. This is the one I always see shared on social media, but I still stand by my argument that it's more down to truly atrocious defending than anything else.
He fairly slowly and lazily walked through our entire team without a proper challenge being put in.
I'd be buzzing if we'd scored it, but I think there have been better.

Super sub Fairclough against us FA Cup QF 1977 at Anfield.
Reminds me of how much I hate Chelsea. If VAR was a thing back then you could rule out at least a couple of those goals.....w sJuliano Belletti. Similar to Alex.

The first one that spring to mind, if it wasn’t for the net and the stand behind it’d still be moving nowPaul Scholes.
That’s mine. Amazing goal but was the cherry on top of an amazing team performance, they were absolutely ridiculous - best performance of anyone we’ve ever played against that I’ve seen.Kanu for Arsenal in the 6-1 rout at home. Cheeky.
This one goes into too spot after reviewing themFirst goal we conceded in Europe v Banik Ostrava was an absolute corker.
Totally agree, the pace and power that arsenal team was ridiculous, made it look like we were a u15's team!!!That’s mine. Amazing goal but was the cherry on top of an amazing team performance, they were absolutely ridiculous - best performance of anyone we’ve ever played against that I’ve seen.
I was in the South West corner for that match and remember the whole stadium applauding Kanu’s goal. Quite nice when that happens.
Reminds me of Hayden HackneyPaul Scholes.
They were like modern football but 25 years ahead of its time. Funny how United won more because they had the mentality but they weren’t as flashy as that Arsenal team, and when they were on song they were ridiculously good.Totally agree, the pace and power that arsenal team was ridiculous, made it look like we were a u15's team!!!
