Being honest what do you expect tomorrow - v Fulham

I am expecting at least a draw with our home form since Wilder joined reckon we are slight favourites reckon there will be goals as Fulham to give you chances, hopefully we take our chances on the night 3 -1 Boro

The same people that told me Britt was a goalscorer are the ones that told me Warnock was a good manager.
No they're not. Why posters continually lump all forms of criticism onto the same people is beyond me. Everyone criticises something, nobody criticises everything.
Warnock did a good job for us in very difficult circumstances when he first came, but it was very much time to go. He is 73 and should now retire.
Assombolonga was a very poor player who cost a ridiculous fortune and was a horrendous waste of well over £25m.
Both IMHO.

He also chose to buy Bolasie and play him as a striker, rather than sign a striker
No he didn't. He played as a striker very occasionally when we were injury hit, but otherwise played him wide expecting him to arrive late on the other flank which he sometimes did.
And he didn't buy him, he borrowed him, as he borrowed Kebano.

some are
Warnock did a good job for us in very difficult circumstances when he first came, but it was very much time to go.
He did a decent job in his first 8 games, to keep us up, but he did lose all 3 home games. He needed 5 points to keep us up and got 12. He didn't quite turn the club around, but managed to get us scoring which was enough to get over the line.

His first full season, he had a slow start and got us knocked out of the league cup by Barnsley, but had a great October and we played consistently well for the first and only time under him, as well as getting results. But Nov to mid-Dec he went back to hoof ball and relegation form. We had a little recovery over the pre-christmas through new year period with 4 wins in 5. Then it reverted to form and we went back to being as bad as we were under Woodgate.

He should have been dumped in that summer, but as others said maybe Gibson showed him some (misplaced) loyalty.

This season he had one little spell of 4 wins in 5, the rest was simply awful. Wilder coached us into a far better side within about 3 weeks, showing just how much Wilder was under performing.

He basically had 3 short spells of about 4 weeks where we looked like a side that could chase a play off spot. That's it in his 74 game tenure. The 55 games or so were just turgid, poor quality, lacking in a game plan, basic sunday league tactics. It was even more painful than Pulis because at least he bored us to results.

I disagree about the "pain".
pulis left us where he found us despite having scope to spend money on the likes of Flint and Saville and with a wage bill of £49m then £40m, versus Warnock's £27m last season, which dropped from Woodgates' £31m.
Warnock got rid of rubbish.
pulis bought it and sold Bamford.

When did we become so downbeat about us beating another team in the Championship- particularly given our amazing home form. I expect us to win 2-0 and don’t see another defeat this season. In Wilder we trust

To be fair to Pulis he inherited a wage bill with some absolute waste on it that had nothing to do with him, such as Gestede and Guedioura, players that didn't want to be here like Ayala and Braithwaite, and players that were over the hill and on prem wages like Friend and Clayton.

Yes Flint didn't work out, but is a decent enough champ defender, and Saville was over priced, but he also nurtured Traore, Tav and Fry and we are getting the benefit of that now on the pitch and financially.

I prefer to look at what impediments they had, what they spent and what results were, to get a more rounded picture. Warnock was heavily backed with prem wages for loan players then didn't get a regular tune out of them. Pulis was limited, too defensive, but I don't think he was anywhere near as bad Warnock who simply brought no philosophy or tactics to the team. Pulis's football was boring but you knew and the players knew what they were supposed to do.

We can get a result tonight if the team and fans go into the match with the same mindset as in the Man U and Spurs games.
Exactly this. This is a match where the fans intensity can get us a win as much as the players. I know the atmosphere is decent anyway, but when we raise it a notch or two the players never stop. Anyone have any idea on expected crowd?

Is it me or do fulham tend to come up here and win 1 nil of recent seasons. Somewhat grind out wins against us (norwich were the same)....id settle for a 1nil to us for once.

Surprisingly, they've only won once here in the last 15 attempts, and that was a 95th minute penalty to win 1-0 in 2018.

It's usually a draw or a narrow Middlesbrough win.

For the record we've gone on about not being scared of them because of our home record.....they have gained more points away from home than we have at home.

Now of course we have to factor in the Warnock games - W4 D1 L3 - but it does highlight that tonight will be a real challenge.

Flip side is that since Wilder arrived, we have gained 40 points in 21 games. In the same time period Fulham have also played 21 games and scored 42 points.

Should we win tonight, we will have scored more points than this runaway Fulham team since November the 20th!! Really makes me believe we would be top 2 if he had signed in the summer.

Pretty much what I expected.

We were the better team tonight and they didn't deserve to win, scored from their only chance of the entire match whilst we missed glorious opportunities.

A draw would have been the right result.

Not that it impacted the result, but for a team that are cruising to automatic promotion, their fans are some of the worst I've ever seen.

Almost silent even when they were winning.

Chose the wrong team which is we struggled first half. Peltier and Taylor offered nothing going forward and in fact, barely got up the pitch. We had no danger out wide, so they got to push us back. On top of that with Connolly, they were able to play the ball across the back without any pressure. Certainly once Watmore had started to tire.

Once we put Bola on the left, we started to offer a threat, and Tav on the right we started to dominate. Subbing our wingbacks meant that we didn't have scope to get fresh legs up top. Watmore and Sporar were absolutely shot for the last 20, when we needed them most.

Anyway, we can take a moral victory in that they got out of jail through a momentary lapse from us. They didn't deserve anything from the game, but when you have a 30m striker you can do that.

Nothing for us to fear now. Bournemouth are a poor side compared to Fulham. Play like we did in the second half and we can beat them away....if we can win away at Bournemouth every other game is winnable.
