Sorry to hear that. I appreciate you letting us know, I hope everyone does take things cautiously but i fear a section of society will do what the hell they want sadly and not care a jot about others. Wembley has already shown that anyway.I have just found out a double jabbed friend of my uncle with no underlying health conditions this morning died of covid. He was 51 years old. Protect yourselves and your families everybody.
I must admit for ages I thought it was a load of rubbish, until things started happening closer to home. I think a sensible approach is still needed for the foreseeable.Sorry to hear that. SAGE have said they don't expect am autumn peak like anything we've seen previously.Massive gamble and experiment by the government but it has to happen sometime, I suppose mid July, with the summer and kids finishing school is the least worst option.
Its a tricky one for older people I guess. My dad is very cautious, my father in law is more about living his life, for however longer he has. They are both 87.Sorry to here this. I have to admit this whole double jabbed thing had put me into a false sense of security.
I've had it a few months now and pretty much eased down my guard thinking 'I'm now fine'. Everyday I read or speak to someone who knows someone who's double jabbed and still got it.
My parents are 78 and 82 and go about like they are now 'immune' after a double jab. I keep telling them but it's in one ear and out the other as they are just sick of being reculeses. They have people round all the time after nearly a year of not seeing anyone. It's slightly worrying due to ages and the fact they are purely relying on the vaccine working.
Let's hope they are right Randy. I think with a lot of folks its just one **** up after another by the government so it's difficult to accept a lot of what you hear. Lots of people probably believe that SAGE has been politicized, which it certainly was early on until they saw the damage that was being done to their reputations and the country.SAGE have said they don't expect am autumn peak like anything we've seen previously.
I watched that Panorama programme on long Covid last night - extremely worrying and frightening.Just to follow up on my long covid comment earlier....
A friend of mine was recently in hospital for some time with a heart problem.
In the bed next to him was a man in his early 60s. He could hardly move. His wife was by the side of his bed. Helping him do everything.
My friend thought he must of had a stroke or something like that. In a discussion with the wife he found out that the guy was suffering from long covid. Previously he had been a very active, normal 60+ year old. Now he had been confined to bed, is in pain all of the time and cannot do just about anything.
This has made me think about covid restrictions in a different way. I would not wish that sort of situation on anyone.
I feel that there is very limited awareness about it.I watched that Panorama programme on long Covid last night - extremely worrying and frightening.
