Why is it fair play? It's a vain and blatant attempt at a publicity stunt. You'd have to be insanely gullible to fall for such pathetic stunts
 
3 weeks ago the Prime Minister’s of Slovenia, Czechia and Poland visited Kyiv in the midst of fighting in the city, they did so in private with no publicity to show solidarity to Ukraine and Zelensky and offer their and their countries support, no staged photo opps, no pre-planned big announcements, no grandstanding or back channelled correspondence with Moscow to let them know of their visit, real leadership and real bravery, all the good that Johnson does now with the ongoing conflict will forever be tarnished by his connections with and funding by those heavily involved in Putin’s regime, his lack of contrition and the number of personal favours he has pulled demonstrate his moral corruption which should not be in any office of power, I don’t hate Conservative’s or those that vote that way but I am staggered by the continued support of Johnson when his inability to lead and unsuitablity for office is demonstrated time and time again.

That's all true am. It doesn't change the good that 500 million can do though. Sometimes bad people do a good thing, even if it is for the wrong reason.

I wouldn't applaud Johnson, but I am glad the aid is being given.

I would also like to see an open door policy for refugees, any refugees.
 
He's a nob, but fair play to him for going out there. It is a PR thing, but it isn't just for him. It also helps the Ukraine leadership in showing that a nuclear power country is supporting them.

Absolutely not and in the main the response by the Government has been a little slow but decent, my point is that whatever good he does it doesn’t undo his connections with Russia, the reason Putin wants, and has indirectly funded, leaders like Trump and Johnson in the West is he knows they’re compromised and open to influence.

I think the good people of the Ukraine would prefer that the UK helps enforce a no fly zone or that the UK makes it possible for Ukrainian refuges to get a UK visa in less than 4 weeks, but I am sure a visit form the tousle haired buffoon lifts their spirits, and makes them glad that they have elected a real leader rather than a hollow self serving husk of an excuse of a human being for Leader.

Or, you know, accurate. Explain why Al went when the Russians had all but pulled out of Kiev and there was so much coverage. When other world leaders went when the city was under attack and went to support rather than for a photo shoot.

Have to be even-handed and say fair play to Johnson for going to Kyiv to meet Zelenskyy. The right thing to do. More support for Ukraine.


The next election will be fought as decisions taken over the last 10 years unravel. There’s battles worth picking - this wasn't one of them.

Great post AM. Also remember the May local elections are looming and he’s desperate. He’s been creaming himself for this photo op for weeks.
