Its hard to see how Brook doesn't make the list to be honest.

That said, its nice to see all worthy contenders (well, perhaps with the exception of Jude who definitely won't win) and no jockeys or formula one drivers for a change.

Yeah but, personally, I don't think breaking those kind of records warrants it, as the vast majority of it didn't happen this year. For me it should be someone who has risen to the top of their sport (Hodgkinson, Yee) or in some cases, maintained that (Root). Cav was a worthy winner in 2011.

Bellingham has also done that across the year but he will be mostly be remembered for not quite delivering in the Euros (despite his brilliant last minute winner).
