BBC look Tyne at it again last night

Being in New York, I can't choose my ITV channel. At least with the BBC I can choose NE and Cumbria. I quite enjoy Look North, although that may well not be be the case when I eventually get back home.

I emailed Look North a few years back about the running order of sports stories.

We had gone top of the league after a midweek game, but were still 3rd in the running order behind Sunderland and Newcastle "breaking stories". I got a prompt response back from Mark Tulip explaining in detail why they had used that running order. While I didn't agree with what they had done, I was pleased that he took the time out to respond. He also promised me that they would be broadcasting live from the Riverside soon and he was right, they were there on the following night.

As Dawn Thewlis doesn't seem to be on the board much these days, you can contact them here Look North contacts

Check this out first chesterfield, then Rotherham then LEEDS on tonight's Look North Yorkshire ... did bielsa's men lose last night by any chance?

The older members of this forum will tell you that it has always been the same - because it has.

I think our local news broadcasters based in Newcastle are shockingly insular and
I’ve noticed they quite like to avoid Newcastle for any bad news stories, suddenly other parts of the north east become more important.

Its sickening really, I‘m only watching them because it’s lockdown and I have more time on my hands.
They had a week long vvankfest in 2019 commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Newcastle Fairs Cup win. Something about it every night, all week. Wonder if they will do that for us in 2054

I contacted the breakfast show years ago after we had won a midweek game under Mogga and gone top of the Championship. The result wasn't even mentioned so I emailed them and asked why we hadn't been covered. I basically said that if Newcastle or Sunderland had had a game the previous night it would have been on so why was our game ignored.

I got an email response from Colin Briggs full of denial of bias towards the Tyne/Wear clubs and stating that since the shows producer was from Teesside they wouldn't get away with leaving us out. Since we weren't mentioned on any of the other morning bulletins I took what he said with a massive grain of salt!

It's clear BBC Look North couldn't give a monkeys about us.

Sent them a snotty and sarcastic email. Feel better now 👍

Are we going to hear about NW's underpants today? Bet she wished she never asked that question.
