No mention of signing Mendez Laing on a short term deal
Utter contempt for Boro or just reporting incompetence ?

Watched ITV Tyne tees and they summarised Boro’s transfer day perfectly

Gravy train broadcasting, all on the public purse. Must be great to have the job security of Jeff and Dawn. We could win the Champions League and they’d still show 30 second clips from the Tyne bridge.
 
It really was the worst attempt at showing how little Boro matter and yet people are on lockdown and waiting for a decent summary of the previous (big) day and you get that load of rubbish.
Cant get players names right, deals incorrect and left out a main player signing altogether.

I'd rather they say nothing about the Boro than patronise us.
 
To be fair they didnt have a sports section to the show last night or jeff brown (or Dawn) presenting. Just carol (i know nothing about and hate sport) malia reading from an autocue
 
When we news of our new manager wasn’t the main headline not even in the top in the running order that was the end for me as far that show went
As there is just no way that Newcastle changing their manager wouldn’t be top story no way.

Just stop watching. It's drivel anyway. Hopefully, if all Teesside is no longer watching they'll stop pretending to represent us. #boycoutt

That's why we need to get back to Yorkshire TV
 
I’ve also noticed that we seem to get more exposure on national media than we do get on so called local variants.
 
Local evening BBC ignores Boro more often than not, but the Newcastle basketball is covered most nights.
The girl who introduces the program makes no secret of the fact that she hates sport and she chats more about her journey to work.
 
The older members of this forum will tell you that it has always been the same - because it has.

I think our local news broadcasters based in Newcastle are shockingly insular and
I’ve noticed they quite like to avoid Newcastle for any bad news stories, suddenly other parts of the north east become more important.

Its sickening really, I‘m only watching them because it’s lockdown and I have more time on my hands.

They havent got Pools, darlo, york and scarborough to cover anymore that's why

The Sky box in our house in Knaresborough has Leeds TV and Calendar as the default local channels but the freeview box picks up North East Tonight and Look North (North East) aswell as BBC Tees :)
