Its huge mind.
Maybe the new Boro 02 Arena?
Its about the same size as Brixton Academy [02]
Would be an alternative to Leeds or Newcastle.

I was surprised how much of a dump the inside was. When these historic buildings come down no one ever appreciates the condition of the internal spaces. I’d imagine it would be a pretty penny to get it brought up to scratch.

For Boro in relative terms.
Its as near as we get.
Gut the whole place an keep the shell.
Would cost a few pennies mind.

Stockton managed it, but it would take someone wanting to benefit the town, not their own pocket.
Houchen and Preston?????
It is only an external wall now - being currently rebuilt as offices for TVCA and Transpennine.

How about a shared unit in a multi-use like a Bistro.
There will be a bit of public consultation during Glastonboro - conducted by Navigator North and Word arts groups - they want to gather the opinions of Base Camp users as to what provision they would like to see in the future in this part of the town.
Great to see restaurants and great to see renovation for offices but please do not forget about all those people whose lives and wellbeing has been enriched by a multi use space in Base Camp over the past 2 or 3 years.

Could they not cohabitate with one of these new bars. I cannot see the entire building being used where the new Mudler is going to be.
Most of the building is already in use for offices - the rest will be converted for further offices.
Base Camp are taking some time out - having conversations - recharging batteries and no doubt their bank accounts but ongoing public support will help I am quite sure of that.
Hopefully everyone enjoyed the festival

Had a couple of hours there before moving on to The Westgarth.
Really enjoyed what I saw, Hazey Janes were a pleasant suprise and very good.
I hope Base Camp come backsoon somewhere.
