Mental isn’t it. Ridiculous rule. I’m glad we are the beneficaries for a change though. That 4 mill will surely help in regards to contractsIts around £4m apparently Block. Might give us a bit of an edge in agreeing new contracts with the likes of Ayala and Howson.
They're already looking to move him on in the summer too, so when he does leave he'll get 4 years of his 4 and a half year contract paid up, plus signing on fee etc for his new club. Nice work if you can get it!
Its a complete farce though, and harsh on Leganes.
Incredible how we've profited quite a bit from this.
Barca are mental.
Whilst that’s true but I guess it’s the unexpected nature of This deal that makes this feel like a winner for us. I bet the club didn’t expect his next move to be for 16 million pound outside of a transfer window so soon after selling himI think we've only made a slim profit if we got sizeable loan fees when he went to Bordeaux and Leganes.
We sold him at a £5m loss.
Btw I was talking about the buy out clauses not the new rule.Tiny team, Real Madrid.
That was also in a regular transfer window so it's irrelevant.
apparently Barca have put in a by out value of £251m !?!
TBF he'll be out of the door once the season ends..
though a horrible unjust rule, they should only be able to buy free agent players.
I think there’s a fare chance his club were happy to cash in .
Not quite true, Oscar has 5 goals. They were hardly in with a high chance of staying up even with Braithwaite. There absolutely isn't.
They're going to get relegated now.
He was their top scorer by some distance, and he's only scored 6.
As much as I don't like how he conducted himself when he was here, I'm not sure he can be slagged off for this move. He's an average footballer who's been given the chance to go to Barcelona and most likely start the majority of their remaining league games with Messi and Griezmann.
I'm sure he's on a good wedge and will never get this chance again, then he gets to swan off back to his level at the end of the season with another signing on fee.
