Bar in Paris to watch match on Sunday

My son will be in Paris this weekend (shocking timing) - any recommendations re bars that will be showing the match?
Thanks

I don’t have any specific recommendations but i remember that Pigalle had plenty of places showing games during the euros in 2016. Abundance of sports and Irish bars but I imagine you’ll have to ask to get it on as it appears to clash with a televised French game.

Just avoid any of the peep shows, they get their Bristol Cities out then kick you out. Not worth it.

When I lived in Paris I used to go to The Bombardier in the Latin Quarter to watch games, just near the Pantheon on the corner of Place du Pantheon and Rue de la Montagne St. Genevieve.

My other tip to anyone going to Paris is go up Tour Montparnasse so that you get to see Tour Eiffel on the skyline which is much prettier than Tour Montparnasse and half the price.

Good call on The Bombardier for footy watching. You can then nip round the corner and pay your respects to Alexandre Dumas, one of the greatest of yarn-spinners.

When were you there? I was there 95-96 - lived 5 mins up the road from the Frog and Rosbif - also watched a lot of games at The Cricketer and The Bowler (mentioned above)

I'd advise phoning ahead to make sure they're open and showing the match but The Cork and Cavan +33 1 42 08 11 15 on the canal (70 Quai de Jemmapes, 75010) would be my first choice. Lovely Guinness or a pint of Kilkenny. Kevin the boss is off his rocker. Failing that the Auld Alliance Scottish bar 80 Rue François Miron, 75004 Paris, France (metro St Paul) off the Rue du Rivoli near Hotel de Ville http://www.theauldallianceparis.com/ does a lovely pint of Cally.

I liked the Bombardier, but it wouldn't be my first choice for football. Ok for sitting at a quiet table to read a paper for a coffee, or a pint of Bombardier. I recognised the steps opposite as the location Owen Wilson nashes off to to the 1920's every night in the excellent film 'Midnight in Paris'
