Badenoch - ‘Lunch is for wimps’

She is always seems just one sentence away from a career ending gaffe. Encouragingly she will keep Labour in power if she leads the Tories into the next GE.

Were many politicians this dumb but hidden behind a curtain that social media has drawn?
Clearly there is a distinction between the likes of 30p Lee and others, but the quality of those 'representing the people' seem to have diminished catastrophically. Insults, physical violence and threats should be actions demanding instant dismissal from any party.

I just think it’s great to have a working class lass in charge of the Tories.

And anyone who doesn’t think so is a sandwich loving woke racist.
Yes because all working class people can fly a couple of thousand miles to private maternity hospitals just to guarantee their child gets the passport of choice

The undertone is, be thankful for your job, give everything to your job, ignore workers rights because you shouldn’t have any, just be productive for the company (owners) or you are at risk
I've worked for a couple of family run SME'S and this is very much what they expect. One of their toadies on a particular job tried to shame us over stopping for lunch on a regular basis.

Working through your lunch break is for mugs. I have the 12:00-13:30 period in my work calendar blocked out every single day to stop people trying to invite me to meetings in that slot. Don't have a 90 minute lunch break btw, but it does the trick.

Spot on. The scary thing isn't that she's thick, it's that she's intelligent but sees an easier route to power by pretending she's thick.
I'm not sure it's as simple as that.

She might be well educated and "intelligent" at an academic level. But so was Liz Truss.

I've known plenty of people who I suspect have very high IQs but not an ounce of common sense between them.

There are different types of intelligence. I think she genuinely is thick when it comes to politics. Zero emotional intelligence for starters.

My line of work doesn't allow for a lunch break so I just eat when I'm not busy and get paid the full 12 hours instead, I prefer it that way tbh

Same, I found out my boss in the last sme I worked for 15 years ago was looking to replace me and give the job to some new potential directors wife purely because this guy promised that he could get them a couple of big contracts.

I challenged them and said that I would be putting a formal complaint in as I’ve seen the email where the owner states her plans and another email where she asked another couple of managers to spy on me to find a way to get rid of me.

Her husband asked me to withdraw my grievance as “you don’t want a sacking on your record”. He was an ex naval officer and gave me some story about how it’s unthinkable that someone would raise a grievance against their superiors. So I raised one against him too for trying to stop my right to follow the written grievance process.

long story short they had to pay me for 12 months to sit at home and not work, then another years wages to walk away without suing them and a load of IT equipment just for sh1ts and giggles. They found out the hard way that employment law does apply to you even if you are rich enough to send your kid to Eton.

Funny thing was, the guy that was going to get them these big contracts didn’t and the whole thing cost them an absolute fortune in legal fees and tied them up in knots for months trying to find a way out of their mess.

I retrained with the cash I got and have earned more than double what they were paying for each of the last 14 years. F.. around find out.

Sandwiches are just for breakfast. I eat steak at my desk someone has brought to me.

To be fair she doesn't mention if it's cooked, so she may just be gnawing on a raw one.

Saving time and energy 💪🏼.

Putting Britain first 👍🏽.
How can she eat steak without stopping for any work this is purely to wind up the gammons

Yep, taking a rest break during work is woke millenial weakness.

The people who built Britain like Baden-Powell and Fred Dibnah wouldn't have any of this lazy liberal nonsense.

Sandwiches? Ridiculous, I'd be happy with a swift boot in the boIIocks from my workhouse owner, then retiring to my hovel with the contented warm glow of a prole knowing he's done his bit to protect his master's profit margins....

The sooner we're out of the ECHR and filthy oiks like myself can be whipped and over worked the better.

Probably says a lot to her attitudes on workers rights if she thinks that’s normal. In any job that you don’t have time to take a lunch break, something is seriously wrong
