AZ safe and effective

France, having initially refused to give it to over 65s, whilst publicly questioning its effectiveness, and then suspending the use of the vaccine over a risk that wasn't really there, have apparently now decided to only give it to over 55s.

They really are acting like freaks, it's baffling.
Small wonder they're one of the most vaccine sceptical countries in Europe with this sort of bizarre flip-flopping.

That's not really flip flopping though is it? I personally thank Macron has his vaccine approach entirely wrong but each country has to make its own way through this crisis. He has chosen caution over rapidly approved vaccines. No bizarre flip flopping and don't even get me started on your use of the word "freaks"

Saying it's only safe to give to under 65s, and then they've now u-turned and are recommending only giving it to over-55s.

Presumably it's not only 55-65 so it's two completely different positions.

It's not caution, it's stupidity.

It absolutely is caution. Overly cautious in my eyes. Why is it "stupidity" why so emotive? He's doing what he thinks will protect the French people. OK he seems wrong but he's not the only world leader to express doubts.

Apparently vaccine booking cancellations and no shows in the UK have increased from 2% to 10% since this blood clot farce began, can only be thankful this came out after most of the most vulnerable in this country had already received their first dose.

It always happens with medicines. I lost my job once because of a misleading medical report on a drugs side effects so I know the issues. This is the only problem with this affair. It's spooking people and that's the last thing you want. Anti vaxxers are dangerous enough anyway without whole countries fueling their crazy theories.
 
According to BBC the French have now declared AZ should only be used on those over 55yo - didn’t they say it wasn’t safe for use on over 65s a month ago?? 🤷🏻‍♂️

This doesn't surprise me, not one tiny weeny bit.

The funny thing is that if going from the stats, the chances of blood clots after the vaccine is actually less than if not having it. Why don't the press print that?

Who seriously let people link the vaccine to blood clots, without publishing what the expected blood clot probability would be without the vaccine? People should get locked up for this crap, it will lead to more people dying.
