I think part of the problem is we can’t make the ball stick up top. Chuba did that and was obviously INTEGRAL to how the team played last year. He needs a proper replacement.

To be fair we had a rubbish defence last years as well. 55 goals conceded . It was only that we so good going forward that bailed us out.

Engel should have scored and Latte Lah had a good chance first half too. We will be fine going forward.

The team just isn’t clicking at all. No excuses for them performances today. We’re miles off, we were poor last year defending but we out scored most apart from the top sides.

The honeymoon is really over, just happens that it was a long one. There are a lot of similarities with Wilder’s team. We are really poor. You cannot replace good players with inferior ones and just hope that it will work out. We have no style or identity anymore. Awful really does sum it up.

I don’t see a proper goal threat. A few half chances is all we’ve had. The proof is in the pudding. We’ve played 4 league games and scored 2 goals. That’s a terrible return.

A good manager makes a team better than the sum of their parts, I thought carrick did last season but there were glimpses of what we are seeing back then, awful goals conceded and being rolled over in midfield by the better teams. Getting the first goal is so important as confidence grows, we shoot ourselves in the foot and gift the first goal way too often.

And now we’ve given up with 70 minutes on the clock taking off our number 9 and throwing crooks up top, fook off carrick, that’s as dinosaur a tactic as anything pulls did
