Average price of beer where you are

Varies really. My two locals are The Coronation and The Endeavour.

You can get some the cheap stuff like Fosters / Coors etc. for about £3 a pint.

I tend to drink San Miguel or Staropramen in those places. That ranges between £4-£4.50.

Match days the family like a cheap pint in Discovery (Old Yates bar). You can get 4 pints for just over a tenner.

I prefer Baker / Bedford and Dovecot. Some decent beer selections there. Usually range between £4.50-£5.50.

I do like Stockton too. Golden Smog is the cheapest of the Micro’s - usually around £3.50 a pint of Real Ale. Tipsy Turtle / Kopper Keg is a little pricier. Paid £8 a for a few 7-8% pints in the Kopper, worth it though.

Its a lottery really anything between £4.25 to £5.80 for beer at the pump (excluding wetherspoons) where I’ve been

I would say £5.50. Sometimes more, but never less than a fiver. Can’t remember last time I got a beer under that in my neighbourhood.

When we went to hong kong the beer was incredibly expensive but after the initial shock you just pay up.
On the return journey we were diverted to bangkok where it was slightly cheaper. London prices seemed very good value on our return.

I think that's number 2 in the world. Oslo? Number 1 maybe

Bangkok was cheap as chips when I was there. Is it spenny now?

Months ago I posted on here after flying from Teesside airport and was shocked at the price of a pint of San Miguel. I flew from there again on Monday and it's gone up again. £7.70 if you please.

Got to be Teesside's most expensive pint, more than any fancy restaurant which is the only other place I could imagine extortionate prices.

We must do OK where I live. It's in central beds and our local club is 3.10 for fosters and 3.40 for stella. The most populat pub in the village is 4.20 for carling and 4.60 for stella.

Not much more than boro.

In canary wharf where I work, its 8 quid a pint.

Someone has to subsidise Houchen's white elephant.

Local is £3.95 for a pint of Staropramen. Head into Hartburn though and most places are £5.50+
Well worth a trip into town. Bass at £3 at the Sun. Two of the Hartburn pubs are politically no go areas and as you say, the rest will have your eyes.
.

Rarely go out these days as I begrudge paying the prices.

Joseph Holt's pubs have some reasonable prices £4.50ish for their own lager. Beer tastes rank though.

£3.60 for a bog standard lager and £4 for a Guinness at local social club I volunteer behind bar at.

Local Pubs (not Spoons which I try not ti use) about £5.50 for a pint of Guinness/Lager, £6-£6.50 for stuff like Beavertown/Camden Hells etc.

That's on East London/Essex borders where I live

Pubs near work in King's X anywhere from £6-£8

Try not to have a beer in any of the airports but now and again give in and bite the bullet.

Used to like beer, it bores the **** out of me now. Gives me headache and makes me tired. Bought two pints of Guinness last week at Saltburn House, First ones I’ve bought for months £10.80 so £5.40 each, daylight robbery, should be no more than 2 quid a pop I think.
Took some getting down. Had a couple of margaritas afterwards (somewhere else) tasted nice, completely different buzz, giddy as opposed to slow n heavy with a thick head.

I'm in Thailand now, a small bottle of Leo or Chang is 80 baht, which is just under £2, a big bottle is around £3, and if you want an IPA or Guinness from a can you're talking upwards of £5. Cheapest beer I've had is Cambodia which is a $1 for a **** beer on draft, but it's about half a pint.
