Audio books on Spotify Premium

I think...only think mind you...that for £7.99 a month you can choose one audiobook to own outright, but can stream other audiobooks as much as you like. Not 100% sure though.

Spotify's new audiobook service gives you 15 hours a month free listening and then you have to pay for additional listening hours.

£7.99 gets you one book a month and also access to the Audible Plus catalogue which is 1000s of books free for members to listen to. you can get 24 credits for £109.99 if you pay annually (I do)

I can't get my head around why people would want to own the book though if they can listen to it through streaming whenever they want. What am I missing?

I think 'own' means lifetime streaming rights, even if your subscription ends.

So you get 1 unit a month. Buys pretty much anything and quite a few box set etc.
You also get access to a library of premium plus books thar are free. 1000s of them.
Also access to lots of other stuff.

I'm a huge audiobook fan particularly fantasy and sci fi . I get then other ways but audible is excellent.
