It's because I wasn't there. I'll try to make it up next year.
And the North didn't seem to respond!
At least the south west stepped up and replied with a song.
For a sell out I noticed loads of empty seats in the East stand, especially toward the north east, must have been 100s. Maybe people bought ages ago and then could not get due to train strikes?
Definitely a big difference between Forest last season and Wigan today. The Forest fans tried to be noisy but that resulted in Red Faction being absolutely brilliant that day.I think away fans can help Boxing Day atmosphere but they didn't today.
Well done fella hope you enjoyed the dayIt’s because I was there.
I’m a part timer who lives hundreds of miles away, only comes up three times a year and sits on his hands in the east stand. And only politely applauds each goal.
Atmosphere seemed fine to me - I’ve been in that ground when it was a lot worse….
Certainly blooming well did. Well worth getting up at 7am on Boxing Day it was.Well done fella hope you enjoyed the day
Maybe season ticket holders who couldn't go?For a sell out I noticed loads of empty seats in the East stand, especially toward the north east, must have been 100s. Maybe people bought ages ago and then could not get due to train strikes?
What do you do with the Scotty Terrier?Look I sit in the North Stand. For me to stand up and sing I need to put my tartan blanket, flask and sandwich box somewhere. It ain't happening pal.
It also didn't help that they didn't switch the music off 5 minutes before the teams came out, which would have given both sets of supporters the chance to build up the atmosphere.
