Atletico Madrid

I hate seeing play acting and diving, but given what the referee was letting go I could see why Man City players would want to milk every tackle.
The referee is incredibly lenient with Atletico at times.

Uncle Rico got it spot on. Largely they have some decent footballers - no need the way they go on with rough house tactics, trying to influence the ref, diving etc. Epitomise their manager

Yes, you are right. The tackle on Foden was really good. Maybe Felipe caught him as he followed through - you couldn't tell - but if he did then it wasn't sufficient to cause Foden to roll around like that.

I suppose the red card was right but the ref wasn't really in control from the first whistle. I didn't envy him though - far too much play acting from both teams.

It literally shows him booting him after the tackle, you very much can tell.

The actual tackle itself was excellent, then he bizarrely lashed out and was rightly sent off for a second yellow.

This shithousery needs to be eliminated from the game.
Unfortunately I blame the referee's for the dramatics and diving. When was the last time you saw a referee award a penalty when the player stayed on his feet?

Players know if they are pulled back or kicked your odds of being awarded a free kick fall drastically if they stay on their feet and that is even more noticable in the box for a penalty award.
