Ashley Flechers Demands !!!

Fletcher annoys me more than Britt. At least Britt has generally been fit and scored some goals during his time here.

What has Fletcher done? He's been mostly crap or injured (including a terrible loan spell at Sunderland where he was widely ridiculed). I'm not exactly sure who he thinks is going to give him and his daft agent mega bucks in the current climate. He is too crap for a relegated team looking at Automatic promotion and no one else will have money.

Clearly someone is giving him that though otherwise he wouldn't be going. Warnock has pretty much said as much.

I know what you mean though, he has had a lot of injuries and bar a few good goals, he hasn't given a lot back.

Its the amount of money we have wasted on Britt and Fletcher that's annoyed me (not to mention a few others like Gestede!). We are talking close to £40m for those two in transfer fees and wages. FORTY MILLION POUNDS!!!

I have no issues with taking a chance on a player, but when you are paying those sums and wages there needs to be some level of assurance that they are going to deliver, especially in the championship. To get diddly squat on your investment is scandalous and questions need to be asked.

I think the questions were asked by the guy who has dropped the £40m and those responsible are no longer here.

I wonder if it is Sheff Utd. Can't see them being successful without Wilder, barring an outstanding appointment. If they're signing the likes of Fletcher I don't think we'll have too much to worry about from them next season.

Gary Gill and Neil Bausor are still at the club. One is our Head of Recruitment and the other is our Chief Executive. What questions were asked of those two? They both seem untouchable.

Really glad that the club is building a reputation for not bowing to unrealistic wage demands. The scenario with Ayala and Friend last season pointed the way forward. We all know that Britt and Fletcher were reportedly on Premiership wages. Neither delivered on their promise.
Neils get-what-you-see approach: no commitment = No Deal, [i.e its not just down to money] - is in the best interest of the club and ultimately us fans.
He said this week next seasons team "will be my team - my players". I believe he means it.

I don't know the answer but the terms written in contracts has to better weighted on the side of those paying the money. We have been royally shafted by this pair.

Maybe something like if the club receives an offer after half the contract period of a certain amount - half the fee paid then the club has the right to sell. After all the players have their release clauses on transfer fees.

Maybe a bigger part of salary towards number of points in the season. They the will have more than pride to play for. Money money money. Its clear that pride does not exist

Just glad theyre gone r00fie

The team played & gelled far batter than we have done for a long time, could be a coincidence & that we were playing a struggling team down to 10 men or it could have been because we're shot of those two, I'd like to think the latter & Akpom played well, the Now 70's music that was playing in the changies leading up to the game most likely made a big impact too

If that was the case, nobody would ever sign anyone.
Assurances? How could you ever get something like that?

We don't know that Gill and Bausor weren't asked questions about this. The idea that because it hasn't been done publicly on some kind of football version of Jeremy Kyle doesn't mean it didn't happen. And as said, Gill isn't even around anymore and it might well be for this reason (amongst others)! I can't imagine anyone is less pleased about the millions we wasted from January-September 2017 than Gibson himself, chuck Gestede and Guedioura in to the mix for other players who've delivered shocking value.

Gill has gone, Bausor is really just Gibson's implementer. Gibson is hardly going to sack himself for agreeing to back the Head of Recruitment and the manager in their choices.

No one has mentioned anyone being sacked. However, decisions can and should be scrutinised. There's been plenty of talk over the last few years - Pulis coming in to "have a look at the club and advise Steve", Changing the identify of the club only to go back on it in less than a year later. The Gazette dared to scrutinise what was going on and many of their journos were banned from the stadium!

I'm not being overly critical, but Gibson is good at talking (when he actually does), yet nothing ever changes.

To spunk so much money on players with little or no return - performances, goals and fitness, as well as not being able to sell them on and having to let big contracts run down - shows a complete lack of due diligence.
