Ashes - 4th Test

Heard a few shouts from the crowd at Australia to "Get on with it".

Just over 20 mins this morning to bowl 4 overs. Less than 12 overs/hour. With no bowling change, reviews or wickets to slow it down. It's pathetic. Clearly an advantage to Australia to slow it down as well. Umpires need to be doing more to speed up the play

No, that sounds achievable & a sound target.. 200-250 asap & get them in to bat.. maybe even just after lunch some rain about 12:00-1400.. & Sat looks a write-off so get bowling to get them out..
 
Here we go runs stopped, Stokes goes to a nothing ball, into the tail. Collapse just in time for the rain and then 2.5 days to let the ashes defeat sink in.
 
I thought they'd made a mistake not taking the new ball. What do I know. Still Stokes was doing the right thing trying to score quickly.

Could do with some fireworks from Johnny here

Just said on sky that the Aussie over rate was actually slightly better than England’s, so it’s a problem with the game.
 
Brooks makes it #5 of our lineup to hit 50 runs or more!

Literally only Duckett who is out for less than 50.

Cracking effort from the top to middle order.

I don't understand why though. ODI usually play around 17 Overs/hr. And the ball is getting pinged around the ground and more wickets falling.
Needs to be tougher penalties for slow over rates. Run deductions etc.
 
Aussies bowled well since Stokes was out. England still well ahead, but not having it all our own way today
 
Still aren’t really batting that fast. Wonder if we plan to bat another few overs after lunch too. You would expect wood trying to smash every ball
