Yeah, even the bookies think the weather could hamper the full test match. The draw is only 10/3.

I'm not really a cricket fan, but very excited that such a big match is going to be taking place 5 mins from my front door. the area is going to be buzzing this week.

I guess depends on how he plays. If he has a poor game and doesn't get picked for the Oval - yea, he might call it a day. Fantastic career regardless.

Me and 3 mates going tomorrow. Been checking the forecast every couple of hours between us. First 3 days look OKish and it's Bazball, so it could be all over by then.

I think it will depend on the result.
If England win, especially if Anderson bowls ok, I suspect he’d want to end his career on an Ashes winning moment if possible. If not then, yes, I think he’ll make Old Trafford his swan song.

Not sure he could play two games in a week! The plan was always to rotate the strike bowlers anyway.
My guess is that he'll announce its his last game on Wednesday morning, and then we can watch the wickets fall with his inevitable last Michelle Pfeiffer at Old Trafford. 2-2, game on for the last test, but England bring an extra batsman in for the Oval in his place.

Weather ain't great. A shame for this series to end on a washed out forecast. Just want two cracking tests of cricket. Especially if we go to Lords at 2-2.
I think Jimmy will definitely retire after this series. I think he wanted to go out with a bang. Unfortunately hasn't really happend for him. I'm not sure it's overly age related. He can still have a say in the final 2 tests.
He will walk into a job with sky or Tms. So no issues with 'finding work'.
An England legend. He will rightly get all the praise and plaudits when he finally packs in

Yeah, getting the train over tomorrow ready for an early start on Wednesday. Only going for the first 2 days, although my mates are staying for the whole Test. May not be able to drink my body weight this time, so I'll just aim for a couple of limbs full.
