100% agree, we needed the pitches to suit our style of play, don't last long and get fast runs.I honestly think we made a mistake asking for flat pitches in the first 2 tests. There's no guarantee we'll win this but those 2 pitches at edgebaston and Lords suited the Ozzies playing negatively. This is much more of a competition between bat and ball.
Good pitches won't suit us, as this team won't get 500 against the Aussies, especially if we keep putting them in to bat. Aussies are more than capable of getting big scores on good wickets, so don't give them the pitch which allows that.
Need to treat it more like 2 x one day games, per match.
