100% agree, we needed the pitches to suit our style of play, don't last long and get fast runs.

Good pitches won't suit us, as this team won't get 500 against the Aussies, especially if we keep putting them in to bat. Aussies are more than capable of getting big scores on good wickets, so don't give them the pitch which allows that.

Need to treat it more like 2 x one day games, per match.
 
Starc looking dangerous there.

If it's swinging like that then we may well lose 1 or 2 tonight.

2 for 30 or so runs would still leave us favourites tomorrow though I think.

We have an advantage with the conditions in England and we should play to our strengths. Hopefully we manage to win this one and prepare similar wickets for the next 2 tests.
 
Can’t ask for much more. Only chasing 250 to win. Still won’t be easy. Hopefully the openers can get us to 100 for starters. Good bowling from woakes and Broad today. Life in the old dogs yet. Broad in particular has had a good series so far.
