I'm not in a union. So not an option.

Do I want more money and better conditions. Yes👍. That said doesn't everyone from a retail worker to a train driver feel under paid?

So I'll just get on with it. I get more money than some and significantly less than others. I suppose I'd just look for a job that paid better if I didn't like the pay or conditions.

I have friends who are in the postal service and one who's a nurse (well a mates missues). They have both told me they don't want to strike. They are 'happy' and really can't afford to strike due to loss of earnings. So not everyone striking wants too. I guess they have no choice.

Of course not everyone wants to strike, but the unions are democratic. If the majority of people want to strike then they strike. And the majority of people in a union do want to strike. The minute the majority decide they don't want to strike anymore, they won't strike.
