Are we just like every other club now?

Chairman/owner who most fans don't like/think doesn't know what he's doing.

Executive staff roundly hated.

Managerial setup given 6 months by fans, chairman repeatedly acting accordingly to try and win fans over.

'Top' players sold almost as soon as there is interest, to keep the financial wolf from the door.

I don't hate Gibson at all, but his insistance on parochialism and his decision-making since the post-Aitor purge has been one pratfall after another.
His legacy, built on the many great times he's given the fans is in danger of being tainted beyond belief.
If he'd sold this new 'golden thread' to us with more than just the appointment of a very inexperienced coaching setup then he might have more support. It was the fact that the complaints about our recruitment, the wage structure, the ticketing et al didn't seem to be heard or addressed that sees this vision being roundly mocked.

I know but I did say 'executive staff hated' meaning those other than Gibson.

Well no offence, but do you really know what is going on at Forest Green?

Ok, I'll rephrase to the top two divisions.
Still can’t agree.
Man United
Newcastle
West Ham
Watford change managers often but that’s how the owners work, not because of the fans, they went up with multiple managers.
That’s not the vast majority of the EPL

Charlton
Stoke
Boro
From the championship You may think more clubs?

Well I'll reply properly when I have more time but the fact you've left Arsenal off the list immediately suggests to me that you have a very different perspective.

Yeah, I’ll give you that. Think most are happy with Arteta however, if not the ownership.

Happy to do a £100 charity bet towards Zoës place if you don’t think he will be?
I didn't say managers are always sacked within 6 months, I said fans tend to give them 6 months, and I wasn't talking specifically about Arsenal.

In Arteta's case, he has had 2 months now. I think Arsenal fans will give him slightly longer, given that the season ends in May at his 5 month point. If they're doing crap in October, they'll be baying for blood again, make no mistake.

Chairmen don't always act immediately, but its far from unlikely he'll be gone by Christmas.

Happy to give it to Christmas too.

To be honest, football fans are pretty fickle really. Not in the sense of their loyalty to a club itself, quite the opposite. More in terms of when things start to go badly, most fans turn on mangers, chairmen, and then players. I guess we're in that boat currently. If you look at the clubs near the bottom of any league, I'm sure there will be disquiet amongst fans.

West Brom in the last few seasons. Sheffield Wednesday have had their issues in the not too distant past too, Birmingham, let's not forget that Leeds were all over the place under that Italian guy who kept sacking managers.
