I said Wales are trash, and last night proved they were.

Even an idiot could see prior to last night Wales were there for the taking. We are levels above them. Fair play to them in getting to the WC in the first place, but they were without doubt making up the numbers. They aren't very good.

Does that mean they couldn't beat us? Of course not. It's football, sometimes anything can happen. But last night was the perfect example of a rubbish team playing a good team.

Do you think the German fans said that about Japan? What about the Argentina fans against Saudi Arabia? No doubt the Geordie fans who travelled to Hereford all them years ago thought it was a formality. Closer to home, Man U and Spurs fans will have thought they just need to turn up.

Even a so called poor team can cause an upset. I’m grateful we didn’t allow Wales to do it last night but we have seen it happen in the past.
