That set list is outstanding. What a show anybody who is fortunate enough to go and see it will get (of which I am not :()

In my opinion, not many bands in history would be able to provide such a quality show, whilst still leaving some big records out of it (notable missing mentions... Fake Tales of San Fran, Dancing Shoes, Ritz to the Rubble, Certain Romance, One For the Road, Knee Socks, Star Treatment, TBHAC, I Ain't Quite Where I Think I Am, Hello You)

Only listened to TBHAC after The Car, mostly because a few people told me not to bother, but it's a great album.

Love the orchestra on The Car, it's easily my favourite AM album.
I agree, the last two are the only ones I listen anywhere near regularly.

I've essentially grown up with the band (think I was 19 when the debut landed) and as their tastes have evolved, so have mine. Pogoing around as a leathered 19 year old to the first album was amazing (as were a number of the gigs around that time) but it's certainly not my go to music anymore. On the other hand, a lot of the influences from the last two albums are in fairly regular rotation.

They've yet to catch up with my love of Coltrane and Monk but time will tell! 😂

AM will always be my favourite album I think, it released at the perfect time for me, at university, just turned 19. It was all I was listening to. Saw them twice on that tour and one of them was my first Leeds Festival.

The golden years 😂

I’m a bit older, but for me the AM album onwards was simply more mature musically. That isn’t to say what came before wasn’t great. The energy, the speed, the urban poetry was all fantastic but AM was another level in songwriting…and it’s probably why they play more songs from that album than any other, they stand the test of time better
