Apparently Teesside is no longer part of the North East when it comes to 'levelling up'

That money is still less than the cumulative cuts having to be found by the local authorities who would come into the fold of this new mayor.

We've got the Tees Valley for our region under a similar scheme.

At least we annexed Darlington on the way out.

Why are you being an ar$e?

I don't recall our region benefitting from any government money whether it be through the TVCA or some other entity.

I'd like to know why none of the £1.4bn is coming our way that's all.
I thought we were doing the avoid answering a question with another question thing.

If you scratch behind the surface of the polls and throw in what we can pretty much predict (Farage returning) I can’t see a Labour majority to be honest
Farage is the tories’ lightning rod for dissent, their shít deflector. He will suck up dissenting voters then eventually redirect them to the tories like in 2019. A despicable man.

More devolution = more years of the Tories.

Labour hasn’t won a majority without Scotland it’s doubtful it ever will.

Labour has won multiple majorities without Scotland.

1997, 2001 and 2005 were all clear majorities for Labour, even removing every Scottish MP.

1997 and 2001 wouldn’t have needed any Scottish seats

But Labour won 355 seats in 2005

It would have been on 305 seats without Scotland in 2005 and the majority needed 324 that election

It was 324 with Scotland.

Taking away 59 seats and that requirement for a majority is smaller.

But either way, the statement that Labour can't win without Scotland is wrong.
