Could have sworn he just posted.
The civil servant “taking the can“ had been lined up to be replaced prior to this, as per reports due to doubts to whether he could carry out the role.
That’s what the opening post relates too, so there’s my answer.
See everyone supports suppression of posters with opposing views though. As a long standing poster on FMTTM it is frustrating so I have every right to “bleat” it’s easy to criticise when it’s not happening to you, clearly you support the algorithm too.
Isn’t there an algorithm built into this board to slow down or deter nuisance or unwanted posters?
There must have been human intervention so it’s clear what if is. Posters affected
me
boromike
Fat Cat
When brought up by FatCat before he was accused of basically lying and insisting their was a conspiracy by admin accused certain posters.
If algorithms can only occur with human interaction then it shows their possibly is something that tries to shut out people on this board due to political standing
I don’t think any poster should be suppressed. Healthy debate makes the world a better place in the long run. I have no idea how such algorithms work though so can’t really comment.
Ah right so I’m just making it all up then. The fact you also accused FatCat of lying shows you dorm believe it (I cant even quote the post this time)
So I stopped using my original account Cooper6711 when it started on that account. I then have posted many times about it including on the new board sticky. Also asked rob who said “don’t know”. Borolad confirmed that was an algorithm. I also stated the only way round it to use the board is to browse logged out, log in (when you want to post) and then delete the browsing history (if you remain logged in the site won’t load) all just for a laugh?
yeah ok then , clearly you are fine with supressing other views, it’s ok to admit it
And this is relevant to the exam fiasco how?
As a civil servant yourself Cooper, I would have thought you would have been dismayed at the thought of a civil servant being moved out of post while a minister rides it out. It is a Tory minister though, so in your mind can do no wrong?
I support your algorithm. The civil servant “taking the can“ had been lined up to be replaced prior to this, as per reports due to doubts to whether he could carry out the role.

The nature of ministers is transitory, the CS underneath them is supposed to provide an element of stability. I do agree that there should be a longer term strategy with ministers though, they really should have a pool big enough to have experts in each field as the minister, and keep them there (allowing for competency!). Too many cabinet reshuffles leads to too much waste of time and resources.
Edit: and too many ministers unqualified for their position, particularly in this government.
You won't ever get an answer to a question that would possibly entertain the idea that the gov. are incompetent. Utterly blinkered and in denial. And still @Cooper671 talks about the civil service instead of the key question - why is a civil servant the fall guy when the Minister should assume full responsibility for his or her department.
Why no criticism of the Govt in regards to the plethora of **** ups and corrupt practices that seem to define them?
You’re a fanatic, and when you’re a fanatic of a right wing government completely removed from the struggles of 99 percent of the population you’re complicit in what they do.
Doesn't work like that at all. The issue was that it completely disadvantaged students as it was based on previous performance against like for like years; the problem was that you could have gifted students in a year group being penalised for previous underperformance by last years students and students who are in smaller classes being awarded higher grades. It favoured private schools by it's very nature and was an utter disgrace; I know of one student who didn't attend from January but gained a higher grade based on his primary school work (higher than his teacher prediction); how is that a fair process? The algorithm was set up to predict the grades and they should've listened to teacher predicitions in the first place; for schools that had jumped a huge % all they needed to do was ask the schools to provide evidence in the FIVE MONTHS they have had to sort this and they could've penalised schools if they were inflating their grades but they chose to sit and do nothing as usual. Now I haven't really followed the story. But from what I read they took the predicted grades and then altered them due to the previous performance of the school to try and remove bias. And then there were complaints that it disadvantaged poorer students from s***y schools. Doesn't that mean the fault does not lie with the Tories, or the civil servants but with the school system. And that this year's students will be the first to not be disadvantaged by going to a s***y school?

I was responding to way out west comment and continued the conversation. Didn’t know I wasn’t allowed
