Anyone know if Spence has turned up at Rockliffe?

Playing it cool Boro,I like it.If you don't want to be bullied or set a precedent this is the correct and proper way to play it.
Boro professional,Spurs coming across as small time.
 
If there is 0% chance of them being here, doesn't make a lot of sense them being around the place while CW is trying to push forward with his plans for a promotion push.

I'm surprised Coulson is here still, could be a 'shop window' sort of deal but if he gets injured, then what? Anyone who is interested in him knows what he can do and what he is about and the same goes for Ikpeazu, Hall, Akpom etc a 45min cameo v York or Morecambe won't all of a sudden get phones ringing off the hook and if they aren't in Wilder's plans then 'we' may aswell just let them do their own thing with personal trainers like we all see on social media and let their agents find them new clubs away from the new regime at the Boro.
 
Of course it makes sense having him report for training. Boro can't exactly demand top dollar for a player they have ostracised from the group. We have to show we are prepared to miss out on the deal and are prepared for him to stay if necessary, even if it is all just a front, to ensure we get as high a fee as possible
 
To be fair to him, he can't win with this one.

He wants to leave. We want to sell him. Spurs want to buy him. But he's under contract, so he pretty much has to turn up at Hurworth and go through the motions.

Stays away, looks bad for him as another petulant spoilt footballer. Turns up, he gets the "... .wtf is he doing there?" comments from fans.

Got to wait until this runs its course, hopefully sooner rather than later. Everyone has to get on with it 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
 
I hope I'm wrong but I think this will be a transfer deadline day carry on after seeing the news of him at training.
We all know Tottenham know our situation, with needing to sell to get players in etc so they'll just drag it on for as long as possible and not increase the offer
Boro will then loan a young striker from the premier league +Gayle

Do we, has Wilder said that or are people just putting 2 + 2 together ?

The only statements have come around Smith, and whether he signs for us depends on Spence leaving, but I don't know whether it's impacting our ability to bring a striker in say.

I think the way wilder worded it was that we weren't going to sign Smith if there's any chance Spence could be staying. I'd say that chance is less than 1%, and a deal with Smith will probably already be agreed. We are being very professional about all this though, which is a breath of fresh air.
 
Well that's obvious, we could sign anyone from the northern league if we don't sell spence.
We need to sell Spence to get at least 2 decent strikers if we want to be where we want to be
