Anyone heard how many have renewed so far?

Surely it must be economically sustainable if clubs manage their finances - foreign clubs have been charging people far less for ages. Bundesliga clubs have standing season tickets available from an average of 196 euros - every club has these on offer.

Our most expensive adult tickets in west stand upper for early bird and full price:

£671
£735

The most expensive Bayern Munich season ticket is 840 euros (£718), cheapest standing 165 euros (£141), cheapest seat 385 euros (£329), with match tickets often doubling as free rail passes for public transport. Even the smaller clubs have these cheap prices, and they carry into Bundesliga 2.
Some good research there and I can't give you an answer why German Clubs are cheaper than English ones say for a seat ticket. When I visited Germany I found it cheaper than in the UK for most things I bought, but not half price etc that some football tickets are. When we played Stuttgart in 2006 it was 19 Euros for bench seat which was about £14 at the time and £19 at the Riverside for ST holder or £23 if not.

I do know our player wage bill was £28m in 2022/23 season and will probably be around that now. Its a lot of money to find. The mystery is why don't German clubs have issues with player wage bills in the same way as English ones do.

That would be me, either renew or don’t go, I know I wouldn’t fork out for single games.
Good steady queue today at the ticket office renewing , and after today's improved 2nd half performance I expect a bit of a mad rush before 3pm tomorrow.
Paying in 4 instalments softens the blow.

If you have been grappling with this decision for 6 or 7 weeks, weighing up lots of factors and variables, I doubt a decent 45 minutes (in which Soton missed numerous sitters) is gonna have too much of an impact on a large volume of people.

It will always be busier at the end of the deadline window, as a large number leave it late for financial reasons or due to the delusion that the club will care people renew late and it might make them think twice next season.

That's if you get your free drink.
Mate was first time concession (over 65) last season so they issued him a new card before season started unfortunately it wouldn't work for free pint.
Went to ticket office many times to be told it should now work, next match same again. By end of season supervisor at bar was just giving him his free pint anyway (which he had to sign for). She was so sick of the arguments over it.
My first concession (over 65) next year so new card to be issued, I am expecting same chew. We shall see.
Tell your mate to keep hassling the ticket office. I lost my free drink due to a ticket office **** up when I bought a couple of extra match seats two years ago resulted in my season ticket being cancelled. It's taken me nearly 2 years to sort it out but finally working now after the "IT expert" got involved, that's including a move to a concession last season.
I renewed my ticket today, kept them waiting - that'll show them. 😀

The club better hope that season ticket renewal is high because there won’t be many walk ups at the prices they charge.

Once you drop the habit of having a season ticket and going to every game, from my experience, you’re unlikely to go to a lot of games.
Spot in Yearbyred. We renewed weeks ago, partly because if we didn’t I knew we would not go to more than a couple of games.

I thought I’d go to a few games after I gave up my season ticket this year.

Haven’t been to one and haven’t even considered going. I don’t see myself ever being a season ticket holder again or going to many (or any) games.

Well, I’ve just renewed. I wont get to all the home games but I do believe in Carrick and what the club are trying to do. I hope recruitment give him the players he needs to play the way he wants. Whilst ultimately we have not achieved what we wanted I do think that is largely due to injuries and a squad lacking the experience needed. Next season I think we will be better.

I appreciate that if you go to 23/23 the season ticket represents quite a significant saving over the match by match price. But do lots of people really manage that, particularly in this era of games constantly being shifted for TV? I reckon I get to between two thirds and three quarters most years, which means I’m effectively more or less paying the match day price for the matches I do see. It’s the convenience and the away priority that tipped me over the edge into renewing. But this also means that if I didn’t I could still imagine going to plenty of matches, as I would be paying more or less the same amount for the matches I did go to. So the all on nothing thing doesn’t really match my experience.

We did this wages thing to death a few weeks ago. 28m is all staff wages including 170 non playing staff. Nobody knows any furrther breakdown than that. Some had 'other staff' at over more than the playing staff. Others had other staff at 3m. You can prob take 7m off for non playing and be kind of ball park area for players wages
