Anyone Going to Dortmund on Wednesday then going to Oberhausen on Saturday.

I was planning on doing oberhausen but now I'm torn. it's not even proper games now is it? If we win on Wed I think I'd rather be in berlin for the atmosphere

I think there is more frequent trains to Berlin from Essen, Düsseldorf as well as Dortmund than Oberhausen. They are major cities of 500,000 - 600,000 while Oberhausen is about half the size. So you could definitely with a little travel on a regional train to a bigger city get an overnight to Berlin and still experience the atmosphere.

Booked flights to Prague earlier in the week with a weekend there being the back up plan. Just finalised trains and hotels so it’s Friday night in Prague, Saturday in Dresden then on to Berlin on the Sunday before overnight train back to Prague. Buzzing

Have you got match tickets?

Reckon it's worth going somewhere like Dusseldorf, Cologne, Dortmund to one of the fanparks for the final ? Obviously easier to get to one of those than Berlin.

Looking at flights now for the final and that isn’t straightforward. Looking at £1k flight £2k hotel and £500 for hotel.
Is football worth that much. I’m thinking I have to go buy there wants to come so double that and now I’m not sure.

If I was paying 1000s I'd want to be in the ground ideally.

Think they've come down actually on resale sites? Noticed Spain v France was going at over 3,000 last weekend so 1,800 is a bargain :)

I played in a local sports stadium in Oberhausen in 1977. Cleveland vs Oberhausen. Our team was made up of the Youth exchange/ partnershaft group whilst the Oberhausen side had at least 3 or 4 ringers .
I insisted on being subbed in goal at half time it was 8- 0 by then. I was in the bar for the 2nd half. Can't remember the final score but the game had a write up in the local paper!

But you must be paying almost as much just for the atmosphere, with all hotels and travel?
£150 return flight, £80 hotels and £60 train tickets. Less than £300 and no more than any normal weekend away doing the same route. Just had a quick look and going to London by train this weekend would be costing about £250 before you even look at London hotel prices.
I’m in my 50s and we will be creating a memory for me and my son. I think that is priceless. £500ish all in each is a steal

Where’s the return flights for £150 from. Ticket prices seem to be coming down but flights going up.
