Any Silver Linings on not getting Promotion?

I loved this season but my god it’s exhausting watching boro, a well deserved break for fans and players alike will whetten the appetite again.

I’ll see everybody for the first friendly match thread, enjoy your summers everyone.

I’ll see everybody for the first friendly match thread,
we don't really do that on our match day threads. Most of the match threads I've joined have been decidedly , well, angsty from the off at least. Once we are 3 goals up though I agree it gets friendlier, perhaps you should wait for those 3 up occasion. We'll call you

If I go home having seen a win on a Saturday, I tend to feel good for a while.
No one in the bottom half of the PL had a win percentage above 29%.
75% of the championship had a win percentage higher than this.

Plus, I can't recall a time watching boro that i've enjoyed watching our football so much: it matters less that I thought that it was against Blackpool that Arsenal.

We have a good chance of having a season where we can have realistic hopes of being close to the top of the table and getting promoted and having an enjoyable season with some good wins along the way. In the premier League we would be fighting for survival which although good for the club financially it wouldn't be pleasant from a fans perspective.

Championship is certainly more interesting because its closer and more competitive.

The Premier league is like living in a golden prison, unless you have a billion pounds to spend.

Not getting battered every week is obviously a bonus but getting beat by teams like Rotherham, Preston, Coventry and Reading isn't particularly brilliant either.
