I was born that year. But we did get 39 points in the first division, was that worse than the 28 we achieved in 2017? Or do you mean more the 82/83 season?

I'd have expected the 82-86 spell was all pretty rubbish.

Guessing he means the start of the season in 1982.

We didn't win a single game until the 16th of October, 9 league matches and 1 cup match before that point.

I went through the Raich Carter days and he made Those two look like potential England Managers 🤣
 
Season ticket holder for 40 plus years, started to waiver about renewing a good few seasons back but always renewed pretty close to the early bird deadline.

Last season, even when it was going well, I decided it would be my last but got lots of “ bet you are here next year” and “you’ll renew” but I didn’t. Not missed it at all I have to say.

Thought it might just be a one season thing and that I might want to go to the odd match but no inclination currently.

"Carter was noted as a being a natural footballer who wanted his players to "play it by ear", he didn't want to over coach them."

I'd love a manager to come out with that in a presser in the modern game....

They are not forcing you to use a phone. I'll be renewing my season card, regardless.

So you think that the money received from selling Tavernier and Akpom is just sitting there waiting for someone to spend it?

It might have gone on keeping the club running for the last 24 months, and the next 12 months. Just a thought.

No. I think that it’s covering losses sustained as a result of mismanagement over nearly two decades of poor decision making.

The fact that we’ve made £30m in sales and haven’t been able to invest that in playing staff is a scandal. Take your blinkers off and you’ll see it.
