How about this:

all asylum seekers work 40 hours per week and can keep 20% of earnings - Govt keeps the rest. Anyone unwilling to work is denied asylum.

It’s a great idea and exactly the kind of thinking that this country should be moving forward with. While we are it, my son is 4 and he’s mad keen for a job as a chimney sweep. Can Mr Preston do something about the ridiculous woke rules that mean I can’t put him out to work? We’ve become a nation of softies, I tell you!

Modern Day Slavery is the Act, which covers this, Indentured Servitude and Debt Bondage, amongst others.

I suppose we could just pass a little bit of legislation making slavery legal again and Preston could get his way. We could also assign them to specific Lords, just like the good old days!

I'm not sure, I think he knows what he's doing - I think he's trying to position himself as the next Nigel Farage type figure, a bastion of free speech and common sense, type of thing.

Everything he's done since he joined social media points to it, with his stupid black and white polls or his "remember when" posts encouraging people to reminisce about how good things were in the the olden days.

I follow a few groups on FB like memories of Middlesbrough etc, and it’s full of thinly veiled racist comments sadly.

When you know what people REALLY want to say is

“Look at all the white faces 😍”

Can't say anything these days can you?

All he's done is suggest people fleeing war or persecution should be willing work as some sort of underclass in exchange for the privilege of seeking asylum.

What's the problem?

I agree. Add to this, his appearances on Talk TV and pushing whatever talking points the Tufton St mob are banging on about on any given day. He has been in semi campaign mode since being kicked out - I don't think we've seen the last of him yet.
