It's about time someone did. That phrase originated in the 1940's as a response to the Nakba and was a call for freedom for Palestinians. It is a geographical description of a strip of land and just because Zionist settlers have since framed it as a call to wipe Israel off the map does not make it so and McDonald pointedly used that language as a plea for peace for everyone on that strip of land.He was unwise to use that phrase, even though he specifically gave it a different meaning.
