I'm flabbergasted that none of the FMTTM 'experts' have asked the key question ............... will a freeport boost broccoli imports?
I'll judge when I see the outcome, not just accept the rhetoric of liars.Never thought we would get this. Ben Houtchen and everyone involved have done really well. After decade upon decade of decay its unbelievable that it's a conservative government that is helping Teesside .
Are the Uni not investing £300m over the next few years?I'll judge when I see the outcome, not just accept the rhetoric of liars.
i heard similar when another Tory government used Teesside as an example of how to regenerate. We ended up with thousands out of work, a new shopping centre that would kill off another more accessible centre, a university which has since scaled back and stopped graduate studies on Teesside and a couple of housing developments.
There are 80 Freeport’s in the EU.No idea lol
The EU do hate freeports though and the reason they were pulled is probably to do with that .
Not that I know of, where did you get that from? Are the Uni not investing £300m over the next few years?
We don't know that, it's pure speculation as to the outcome.Don’t understand the negativity. It can only be a good thing for the area as it will create lots of jobs.
I’m staggered by the negativity I really am.Don’t understand the negativity. It can only be a good thing for the area as it will create lots of jobs.
Well we know it’s because it’s at the hand of the Tories and some people will be praying it’s a failure, you can guarantee that.I’m staggered by the negativity I really am.
it’s a boost for the area and the local economy how can this be a negative.
As is your negativity btwWe don't know that, it's pure speculation as to the outcome.
How can you compare the establishment of a major manufacturing centre to a Freeport? As is your negativity btw
the fact is that for once yes once our area not Newcastle ( who also bid btw) or sunderland got a kick of the ball at last we will see real investment real change and real opportunity to build something.
look at how Nisan revolutionised sunderland so we know that things like this do work and boost the local economy but no well just be cynical and moan as usual.
I suppose you're still looking forward to the thriving Middlehaven we were promised when the Riverside was built...I’m staggered by the negativity I really am.
Not praying for failure, no. If it's successful then credit will be given.Well we know it’s because it’s at the hand of the Tories and some people will be praying it’s a failure, you can guarantee that.
Where did you get this information from? If you go down Southfield Rd there are building sites all over with pictures of coming developments and the boast that they are investing £300m up to 2026. As for all the degree courses going to Durham, that just isn't happening. Not that I know of, where did you get that from?
It's becoming a foundation course college, the degree courses shifted to Durham.
If we import raw materials from the EU & export finished goods to the EU, it will be like we've never left the EU.What happens if those products are exported to the EU?
You've got the wrong college, Durham Uni opened Stockton campus as part of the regeneration.Where did you get this information from? If you go down Southfield Rd there are building sites all over with pictures of coming developments and the boast that they are investing £300m up to 2026. As for all the degree courses going to Durham, that just isn't happening.
Just looking at the Teesside Uni website gives you the answer.
Misery loves company it seems. Some can't help it.Why not be happy at profile, attention, opportunity and huge investment in our area that wouldn’t otherwise happen.
It’s been a good day whatever the misery guts brigade peddle.
